Just like every girl in the world, I love heels, but I think I love collecting them more then wearing them. It’s not that I can’t walk in them or that I’m too tall. It’s just when I’m getting ready to run out the door I don’t think of heels. I like of heels for classy dinner with my man, girls night out, weddings, etc. They are not part of my everyday wardrobe, but I am working on embracing heels. My co-worker says the moment she puts on heels she feels more confident and sexy.
I will say my flats don’t exact say sexy (Sonoma Leather Ballet Flats from Kohl’s), more along the lines of cozy, like sweat-pants-and-curling-up-with-some-wine cozy. I do have some fancier flats, like my Vera Wang ones. I love them and they are perfect for the flat mania that fashion world has been embracing for the last few years, but heels will make their fashion comeback.
So, I decided to wear heels for a week, see how I feel after doing so, and if I’m more inclined to wear heels after. It should be a fun social/personal experience. Here’s what happened over my weeklong heel adventure.
MONDAY: I decided Monday should be start with a bang, like something new with a wow factor just to see if my co-workers noticed. This did take some item because like I said I have a habit of just buying shoes. Last week, I just purchased these adorable Franco Sarto Hachi Strappy Sandals from my first Stitch Fix. According to Amazon, the heel high is approximately 2.75″. This is the perfect height for me (I’m 5’6”), and I love the look of these for the warmer weather we are having is Pittsburgh. It’ll admit, it was easy to pair these heels with an outfit.
